ADMISSION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Step 1: Applicant must meet minimum academic qualification requirements. These include the successful completion of one (1) of the following:

 

i. ‘O’ level certificate or equivalent

ii. ‘A’ level certificate or equivalent

iii. Proficiency in English (not required for English Programs)

Step 2: Download and Complete the Student Application Form.

Step 3: Student submits the application form with:

 

Student submits the application form with:

a) A completed Accommodation Form;

b) 2 x Full set ( inclusive of covers) Copies of passport & 1 copy of National Identification Card (If available);

c) completed E-Student Form

d) A completed Medical Check Up form with medical check up results

e) A photocopy of Birth Certificate(If National identity Card is not available;

f) 10 most recent, full - colour passport photographs;

g) Certified true copies of the Secondary School / Secondary Vocational high school / secondary school results;

Note: For countries where English is not the first language, certified translated copies are required. Certified by either:
  - Local accredited body(s) or Local Education Ministry.
  or;
  - Local Notaries or Malaysian Missions / Consulates /High Comm.
  or;
  - Local Commissioner of Oath or equivalent.
   
  If certification for copies is unavailable, kindly send scanned copies (full colour) of originals via Email and Bostonweb College will make copies and verify against scanned copies.
   
  However, final enrolment is still subject to sighting of ALL original documents.

h) Certified copies of the Graduation Certificates / Transcripts /Syllabus
(If students have graduated or is seeking exemptions for direct entry into degree programmes);

i) School Leaving Certificate;

j)A bank draft of USD260.00 being payment for Application Fee (non-refundable) payable to Bostonweb Education Sdn Bhd. Or you can TT the payment, scan the TT receipt and mail it to Bostonweb College of Technology and Management (See telegraphic transfer payment details)

FOR APPLICANTS ABOVE 25 YEARS OF AGE (Additional documents are required)

a) An official letter by applicant & parents / guardian for the attention of the Malaysian Immigration, clearly stating reasons & the applicants intentions of further study in Malaysia. Compulsory information required to be stated clearly includes sponsors / guardian / parents details;

b) An official recommendation letter from employer, clearly stating the Applicant / Employee’s employment history / background (Note: If the applicant is unemployed an official letter from parents / guardian(s) / sponsor(s) is required, clearly stating the responsibility of sponsorship for the applicant;

c) Latest 3 month (in sequence) of bank statements of applicant / parents / Guardian (s) sponsor(s);

d) Resume or curriculum vitae.

ATTENTION: ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MUST BE SCANNED AND EMAILED

Upon receipt of the completed documents (hardcopies) AS PER STEP 3 Bostonweb College will proceed with processing of the application.

Upon confirmation of your eligibility, Bostonweb College will issue you a Conditional Letter of Offer, inclusive of the 1st time fee payment performa invoice.

Bostonweb College will send the Conditional Letter of Offer via email (Scanned copy) and via courier(hard copy original)The Conditional Letter of Offer is valid only for 3 months from the date of issue.

Step 4 : Bostonweb College will apply for Student Visa Approval Letter / Pass from Malaysian Immigration Office.

Note: The normal processing time is approx. six (6) to eight (8) weeks. Please ensure you submit your documents at least 2 months prior to the next intake date.

ATTENTION: All international students are required to apply for a student pass to study in Malaysia.

Step 5 : Once the Student Visa Approval Letter / Pass is obtained by Bostonweb College, we will inform you via email / telephone. At this point, you are required to:

i) Immediately make your First Time Fee (as per your Conditional Letter of Offer) payment via Telegraphic Transfer (see Telegraphic Transfer Payment details).

ii) You are to email to Bostonweb College the transfer receipt as proof of payment. Once Bostonweb College confirms that payment has been received, we will send you the original Student Visa Approval Letter /Pass via courier.

NOTE : A STUDENT APPROVALLETTER / PASS IS NOT A STUDENT VISA

a) If you are from a country which does not require you to obtain an entry visa, you may proceed to enter without visa.

b) If you are from a country which requires you to obtain an entry visa, you may proceed to Malaysian Embassy/ Consulate office to obtain a Single Entry Visa

c) Should you enter Malaysia WITHOUT A STUDENT APPROVAL LETTER / PASS You will have to pay RM 500.00 to Malaysian Immigration to process the for conversion of your social visit visa to a student visa. NOTE: Please be advised that the conversion is not guaranteed.

Step 6 : Once all Student Visa Approval /Letter issues are settled, you MUST notify the college via EMAIL to Mohd Sani (sani@bostonweb.com.my) or Suzy Nitta (suzy@bostonweb.com.my) (ISO-International Student Office Executive) of your travel arrangements minimum seven (7) working days prior to departure from your home country.

Information required:
a) Arrival Date & Time
*IMPORTANT*
Required to arrive during office & working hours.
Monday-Friday | 0930-1800. Try to avoid arriving on Saturday, Sunday or Malaysia Public Holidays.

b) Airline & Flight number

NOTE : For student from Africa, you MUST be inoculated with the Yellow Fever inoculation MINIMUM 10 days prior to travelling to Malaysia.

Step 7 : Bostonweb College will arrange for a meet & greet service upon your arrival to Malaysia. Our personnel will receive you at the airport Immigration clearance point.

Note:
i) Students will not be able to clear Malaysian immigrations without the presence
of official from Bostonweb College.
ii) For ease of Immigration Clearance, please produce the Student Visa Approval
letter / Pass upon arrival.iii)You will also be required to produce the original
telegraphic transfer receipt of your First Time Fees payment.

Step 8 : Upon Malaysian Immigrations and baggage clearance You will be accompanied to your accommodation, You are to report to the college immediately after unless for late arrivals, you are required to report to the registrar the following working day.
