CREATIVE ANIMATION COURSES

Our creative animation course is a 1 year program which comprises of 4 levels, each 3 months, namely Graphic Design, 3D Modelling, 3D Animation and Visual Effects. All our program's learning environment simulates the flow of a studio by teaching student to think and react as part of a production team. Through classroom teaching and guided mentoring, experienced animation professionals instruct the students on the use of advanced digital tools and cinematic storytelling skills. Study of the principles and tools of animation covers the fundamentals of motion, life drawing, composition, character design, sculpture, storyboarding, lighting, and art direction. After electing a specialization in Animation, Modelling, or Visual Effects, students develop a final project which showcases their achievements.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

3D Animation

  • Develop a concept for your own original film
  • Research the concept/character back story
  • Create the characters for your film
  • Write the script
  • Create 2D and 3D animatic storyboards
  • Model characters
  • Rig characters
  • Weight characters
  • Refine character face shapes
  • Create walk cycles indicative of a character's 
    personality
  • Block scenes
  • Animate a minimum number of seconds per week
  • Present progress regularly to a panel of mentors

Visual Effects 

    • Develop a concept for your own original VFX scene or shot
    • Research the concept/character back story
    • Write the script
    • Plan the shots required
    • Create 3D animatics
    • Block scenes
    • Select the appropriate shooting or digital tools/techniques for your piece
    • Prepare plates
    • Work with green screen
    • Rotoscope
    • Apply 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and camera as required
    • Render scenes
    • Digitally composite various images and shots
    • Colour-correct
    • Present progress regularly to a panel of mentors

Graphic Design

  • Animation Drawing Basics and Composition

3D Modelling

  • Develop concepts for two character models

  • Sculpt a complete figure, from skeleton to muscles to 
    detailed skin surface
  • Light characters and environments
  • Troubleshoot problem situations
  • Render and composite high-quality footage

Placement Services: All the successful students can enrol for our placement services program. We will be inviting studios from around the world to visit our training centre to recruit students for the studio. Apart from that, our friendly studios in Malaysia have already shown interest to recruit our students based on their merits.

EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

  • Non-Malaysian students are allowed to work part-time, subject to the terms and conditions below.
  • Non-Malaysian students are allowed to work on a part-time basis during semester breaks, festive holidays or more than seven days of holiday for a maximum of 20 hours a week.
  • Non-Malaysian students are permitted to work in restaurants, petrol kiosks, mini markets and hotels except in the following positions: cashier, singer, masseur, musician, Guest Relations Officer or any activity deemed to be immoral.
